LEGO Store Make & Take Events (formerly Monthly Mini Model Build)

LEGO Stores now run occasional free 'Make & Take' build events instead of a standing monthly mini-model build. Kids build a small exclusive model in the store and take it home. Many of these events are limited to LEGO Insiders members.

When
Not monthly and not fixed. Each event has its own date and a short window, typically 12 to 2 p.m., and some stores host on a different day. The most recent was LEGO Ghost Street on Sunday, October 25, 2026, 12 to 2 p.m., for Insiders only. No kids' build event for November or December 2026 was listed on lego.com when checked.
Ages
Set per event. LEGO Ghost Street was for ages 6 and up. LEGO Insiders membership is only for adults 18 and over, so a parent holds the membership.
Cost
Free to take part, and the model can't be bought. Joining LEGO Insiders is also free.
Sign-up
Make & Take builds are walk-in, first come first served while supplies last, with one build per guest. For Insiders-only builds, a parent must be a LEGO Insiders member (free sign-up at lego.com/insiders). Event pages are posted on lego.com under /stores/events/, and each store's page on lego.com shows its current events.
Kids get
The small LEGO model they built, to keep.

Tips from the official pages

  • A parent can sign up for LEGO Insiders for free ahead of time. Many build events are Insiders-only.
  • Arrive at the start of the window. Quantities are limited and there is one build per guest.
  • Check your store's own page on lego.com. Some stores move the event to a different day or time.
