Lowe's Kids Workshops (MyLowe's Rewards Kids Club)
This program has changed recently. Details below are from the official pages as of 2026-10-26.
Lowe's still runs a free monthly in-store kids build. Since February 2026 it is part of the MyLowe's Rewards Kids Club, which Lowe's presents as building on more than 20 years of its Kids Workshops (previously branded DIY-U). Red Vest associates lead the build and a parent or guardian must take part. The Kids Club also gives free organic lollipops, giveaways and digital badges. Since May 2026 Lowe's also runs separate paid MrBeast workshops.
- When
- Once a month. Lowe's FAQ says it is typically the third Saturday, but the last two announced dates are second Saturdays: November 14 and December 12, 2026. The November event page shows a 10:00 a.m. start. A session takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
- Ages
- Lowe's recommends ages 4 to 11, with a parent or guardian supervising. A Kids Profile can be made for any child under 18. The paid MrBeast workshops are recommended for ages 8 and up.
- Cost
- The regular monthly workshop is free, and so is the Kids Club. Lowe's says some members-only events may charge a small fee. The MrBeast workshops cost $14.98 plus tax per kit.
- Sign-up
- You must sign up in advance. A parent needs a free Lowe's account and MyLowe's Rewards membership, then creates a Kids Profile and reserves a spot at Lowes.com/KidsClub or in the Lowe's app. Each workshop has its own page under lowes.com/events/register/, for example /holiday-engine. Spots are limited per store, and at check-in you show the confirmation email with its QR code.
- Kids get
- The finished kit, plus a physical badge and a digital badge in the Lowe's app. Lowe's says 12 qualifying physical badges from free workshops earn a free tool bag through the Builder Recognition / Senior Builder program at Lowes.com/SrBuilder. MrBeast badges do not count toward this. Kids Club members also get a free organic lollipop at each visit while supplies last.
